Now is your chance! Learn how to twist and twirl a set of beautiful with the incredible Sara Martini. You will learn everything from proper fan holding technique and how to care for your fans to beautiful movements, and the best way to use your fans for the most impact on stage. These are relaxed and fun filled classes where you’ll meet great people and leave feeling energised! We’ll explore single, double, open and closed fan work to help build strength in the core, wrists, arms, back; increase flexibility; and develop musicality. You will be using these props with showgirl style in no time at all!
Sara Martini is a celebrated POC fan dancer and teacher based in Canberra. With 8 years' fan dancing experience and delighting audiences across Australia with her fan mastery, Sara will have you swirling silk and fluttering feathers in no time. Each class covers theory, technique, fan tricks and that signature flow that defines Sara's style. Sara has been teaching fans at Flazéda since we opened in 2021. Bringing fan flair and Mediterranean magic to every class, Fan Veil Beginners is a feelgood time where you'll learn some fantastic skills!
LEVEL: Open level - all people welcome regardless of experience
WHAT TO BRING: Bring clothes you are comfortable moving in (without too much excess fabric around your arms), and fan veils if you have them (if not, they are available to loan).
This class is for performers who have already got some experience with Feather Fans. Join this class to learn how to create beautiful movements, and the best way to use your fans for the most impact on stage, while learning a 10 week choreography created by Jazida. Jazida has passionately taught fan dancing (fan veils and feather fans) for over 5 years. These are relaxed and fun filled classes where you’ll meet great people and leave feeling energised!
These classes will focus on fan manipulation technique for advanced fan users. We’ll explore single, double, open and closed fan work to help build strength in the core, wrists, arms, back; increase flexibility; and develop musicality. You will be mastering these props with showgirl style in no time at all!
